SPECIFICATION ENGINEER - BOGOR
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Responsible for the development of the consulting/ design engineering firms, municipal and governmental bodies/ authorities in Indonesia, mainly for infrastructure and transportation constructions to achieve long term relationship.
Build up a professional specification know-how, tools, database and Network.
Secure specifications of Sika Products and application solutions in all the relevant projects of these consulting/ design engineering firms, municipal and governmental bodies/ authorities.
Develop strategic plans and high level corporate relationships with the technical decision makers.
Regular planned calls to engineering firms, jobsite consultants and governmental bodies.
Responsible for preparing submittals, technical proposals, and conducting seminars.
Cooperate and coordinate with other Specification and Technical engineers, MFM’s, and KPM.
Assist sales team to close sales opportunities, as well as proactively generate new business opportunities.
Report routine activities as required by company (CRM, excel sheets)
Develop plan for specification work required within first 90 days
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on product developments
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management
EDUCATION :
University graduate: Civil Engineering
SKILLS / CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS :
About 5 years in a Technical environment (i.e. design consultancy, construction site etc.), preferably with background on municipal/ infrastructure engineering design and construction.
Knowledge of the construction industry is a must.
Technical competence to understand consultant’s needs – terminology, details, international standards, technology etc. (Construction tender documentation experience is a plus)
Previous experience in construction chemicals is a plus.
Basic sales skills is a plus
Expert user of computer packages: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point (AutoCAD is a plus)
Capable of providing technical presentations to consultants and engineering professionals.
Be a member in engineering or architect association is a plus.
Metric, process and system oriented
Ability to interact and communicate interchangeably with both contractors and design engineering departments in a way suitable to both environments
A strong team player with judgment, interpersonal, technical and communication skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual: Indonesian and English are must
Willingness to travel
